The Hall Executive are 7 students who listen and represent the students living in their halls. They put on events, make their hall more environmentally friendly and change living for the better.

We are asking you to vote for 7 people to lead your hall. Each hall has hundreds of pounds to spend on making sure you love your time in halls.

As a member of the hall exec, you will gain a variety of skills. You'll also qualify for v50, be invited to our exclusive hall awards, get one-to-one support and be able to take part in free skills development programmes. As a team you will listen to your students and bring them together to make your hall great and make sure everyone loves their time at Leeds.

Be the link between people in your hall the Uni/Union by attending meetings and the Better Leeds forum

Be the spokesperson for your hall

Create a vision for the teams work next year

Make sure everyone is doing the right job to make stuff happen

Be the chief contact for wardens, site managers, the union and students

Organise committee meetings
You will get:

Skills in leadership, motivation, strategic thinking, goal setting and communication

Experience in chairing and organising meetings
You will help lead the team and manage the money that will put on great events.
Your will:

Manage the budget for you hall

Handle the cash during social events and make sure it gets paid in.

Get sponsors to pay for events

Create a budget report for the hall

Lead the team in the absence of the President
You will get:

Skills in budget management, communication and report writing.

Experience in creating budgets for events.

Specific training in managing finance
You will lead the team in creating events that everyone will love and make your hall stand out.

Ensure your team puts on events and socials and giving out appropriate tasks

Ensuring that these are open to everyone in your hall

Fill out Health and safety forms.

Make sure it goes all right on the night.

Communicate and publicise all events.

Work the wardens to make sure they are a success

Direct experience in creating environmental change
The two of you (one male and one female) will bring your hall together to take part campus wide events. You will also run activities that will keep you students active.
Your will:

Find potential teams from your students

Encourage students to join these teams and take an active part.

Enter them into tournaments and leagues

Make sure their registration forms are in on time
-
Put on events that encourage more students to get active

Help teams to source appropriate kit.
You will get:

Direct experience in administrating sports clubs and events
You will lead the team to promote a healthy happy and safe hall that all your students will love.
Your will:

Identify issues for students in your halls

Run campaigns on these issues

Signpost students to Uni and Union welfare services

Run events that encourage students to get out of their rooms and make friends

Help those struggling find their feet
You will get:

Skills in campaigning and listening to students

Specific training on signposting students in need
The two of you will bring your hall together to take part campus wide events. You will also run activities that will keep you students active.
