Get involved

There are loads of ways to get involved at Leeds University Union. It's your students' union, so use it and get the most out of your time at Leeds.

Join a club or society

Start competing in your favourite sport at university level, discover a new hobby or meet like-minded people through one of the 302 clubs and societies at your Union.

It's the easiest way to make new friends, and you'll be gaining new skills and experiences at the same time.

All of our groups are ran by students, so while it might be a new hobby today, you could find yourself leading it tomorrow.

Use our shops and bars

There's a great range of retail outlets in your Union, as well as two bars and three clubs which play host to some of the biggest nights in Leeds.

Just by using our commercial services, you're having a big impact on your students' union. That's because the money we make is used to fund services for students.  Things like clubs and societies, the student advice centre, campaigning and representation... they all benefit from the money we raise elsewhere in the Union.

So when you dance the night away at Fruity, you help the 902 members of our dance groups.

Use our services

Services like the Student Advice Centre can help you out when you're having trouble with a dodgy landlord.  Or when you need academic support. Or when you're in financial difficulty.

Work for us

We're proud to employ over 300 student staff, which is great because not only does it mean we're supporting students working during their degree, it also means we're more aware of our members' needs - they're informing our thinking constantly!
