It's independent of the University and led by six elected students, with a team of volunteers and staff.  Together, they're here to make sure you love your time at Leeds.

Things are better when you work together, so your Union is there for you when you want it to be, helping you to get involved, make friends and have fun.  It's also there to offer you support if things go wrong, and to represent you to the University and community.

Your Union is partly funded by a grant from the University.  80 percent of its income comes from the shops, clubs and bars in the building; the money you spend there helps fund your Union.

Think of the Union as a vibrant community of an exclusive service. Above all though, think of it as yours.
