Should the union increase the provision of non commercial space?

What the idea is about:

I want the union to increase the provision of non commercial spaces. These are spaces where no-one is trying to sell you anything through adverts, stalls or other means. I would like the Union to turn the foyer into a non-commercial space.

Why have you proposed it:

As you walk into the union you are bombarded with adverts. Companies host stalls with the sole purpose of profiting from your money. This is not relaxing or enjoyable in any way.

Increasing the provision of non commercial spaces would allow you to enjoy some quiet time maybe over lunch or a drink with a friend, without worrying about the next sales pitch.
