The Union building is a great place to meet with friends and relax between lectures.
But the Union also offers a lot more: Leeds University Union is one of the biggest students’ union buildings in the country, offering services and facilities to meet all needs.
We have award-winning bars serving soft and alcoholic drinks, smoothies and fair trade produce throughout the day. In the evening our club venues open up, transforming LUU to accommodate the best in club nights, gigs and events.
On the shops level of LUU, you’ll find Essentials – a supermarket offering everything under one roof. From sandwiches to stationery, you’ll fnd it here. Essentials Extras is near by, offering a smaller range but longer opening hours to make sure you never have to go without.
There’s also Union Books, an independent in-house bookstore, while CATs is an award-winning cards and tickets shop and Gear provides offcial University of Leeds merchandise.
Upstairs in the Union are the membership services such as the Student Advice Centre, Campaigns and Democracy Support Office, the Student Executive Office , and the ARC (Activities and Resources Centre).
