Job Description - RAG Coordinator

 

Responsible to: RAG Committee & Volunteer Development Coordinator

Responsible for: To support the RG committee in the development of RAG

Job purpose: To support the volunteer event organisers, to run RAG’s central administration and to hold responsibility for the development and completion of all RAG events and projects.

 

People

·         To support the RAG committee in achieving RAG’s goals as laid out in the plan 2010-13.

·        To identify training and support needs and ensure that these are met for committee members, event organisers and RAG volunteers.

·         To be the first point of contact with volunteers, charities and other external bodies.

·         To liaise and develop relationships within Leeds University Union and the University.

 

Marketing

·         Ensure effective communications to ensure that RAG is the trusted fundraising expert on campus.

·         Ensure that RAG membership, event participation and donation levels are sufficient to achieve the goal of raising half a million pounds for charity.

 

Finance and Resources

·         To ensure the proper handling and accurate recording of RAG’s finances.

·         To assist event organisers with the production of action plans, budgets, timelines and risk assessments to ensure that their event reaches its fundraising target.

·         To coordinate the effective provision of facilities for RAG events.

·         To ensure sustainability and continued success of RAG.

 

Operational

·         To assist with the management of all events run by Leeds RAG and offer support other fundraising events run by University societies.

·         To ensure that all RAG events are risk assessed and safe.

·         To maintain a clean, healthy and safe working environment within the RAG office.

·         To ensure a drop in is available for students to raise queries, find out more about RAG and sign up to events.

·         To ensure that fundraising support and guidance is available to RAG members collecting with tins and buckets.

·         To ensure that RAG is working towards a recognised fundraising quality standard.

·         To ensure that the central administration of RAG is maintained.

 

Other Duties

  • To be part of the LUU staff team and ensure that this link is maintained.

·         To carry out such duties as requested by the RAG committee.
