Details

Are you looking for part-time, flexible work that pays above the minimum wage? At Kings Science Academy, a newly opened free school in Bradford (close to Leeds and with excellent transport links), we are looking for self-motivated students to join the homework and assessment marking team to support the Humanities Faculty

If you are thinking of going into teaching after university, this would be a great way to gain some valuable experience. Even if teaching is not for you, this is fabulous way of using your skills and knowledge in an academic environment. There may also be opportunities to gain hands-on classroom experience. You would be fully trained in assessment marking for KS3 students, and would be extensively supported as you develop into a skilled and reliable marker. You will not be required to be based at the school, as the work can be taken home.

Skills needed:

  • History and/or Geography A-level, B grade or above standard
  • Excellent ability to manage deadlines: there is a tight deadline for homework turnover so this is vital!
  • Attention to detail

Basic IT proficiency

Initial training to take place at Kings Science Academy, 189 Manningham Lane BD8 7HP, subsequent marking can be taken home.
