Leeds University Union is a charity that helps over 32,000 students love their time at Leeds. Located at the heart of campus, the Union is a space to meet people, make new friends and get involved.
Six elected students are the leaders of our organisation, backed by volunteers and staff. A lot happens in our building, but it’s also a hub for activity across campus, throughout Leeds and beyond.

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual ready for a role that is both rewarding and provides excellent development opportunities. You will be helping to support the operational running and supervision of the bar provision for one of the most successful and diverse club night and live music programmes in the country.

As the Venues Deputy Bar Manager you will be assisting the Venues Bar Manager in the running of the late night bar operation for the Stylus, Mine and Pulse club suite as well as the legendary Refectory live music venue. You will have a passion for great service, developing both yourself and our team and have a breadth of experience and dedication.
You will thrive in a fast-paced bar environment, being able to command the best from yourself and your team through clear direction, planning and motivation. You will also ensure that all licensing, alcohol policy and health and safety stipulations are met at all times to ensure that our customers, colleagues and contractors remain safe and happy at all times.
You should have considerable experience and confidence in supervising a large and diverse team of people, excellent customer service skills and a friendly and fun personality. You will also have experience in cash, stock and manpower management.
We offer 26 days’ holiday (plus generous statutory and customary closure days) and a final salary pension scheme.
