Details
At LUU, we attract an average of 60,000 visits to our website each month and have a social media following of over 18,000. Digital platforms form a huge part of our communications offer to our members and other segments of our audience and we are becoming increasingly reliant upon them.
The Digital & Web Development Assistant will build, develop and maintain these channels.
You will be a graduate or have relevant equivalent experience in this field and feel confident to create and maintain high quality digital content in-line with brand guidelines. Your skills will be highly developed in writing clear, well commanded code and you will be particularly skilled in HTML, XHTML and CSS (2 & 3). Your experience of Web 2.0 tools and techniques and your understanding of the vital role that social media plays within today’s digital landscape will make you a champion for innovation and a key member of the team.
You will understand the value of and be able to implement personalised, accessible and mobile enabled content. You will also understand the importance of creating clear, logical information architecture and user journeys. You will have experience of communicating through the web and other digital channels, and so will be able to advise others about how messages can and should be delivered through these mediums.
As a digital advocate, you will also understand the importance of good quality data and the intelligence that data can provide. The Digital & Web Development Assistant will become a champion user of LUU’s membership database, and must understand how our web presence and database work together to create a better user experience.
You will be a team player and work alongside strategy and design colleagues to ensure that our digital presence is meeting the needs of our audience and appropriately representing LUU.
An excellent communicator, you will also be approachable, helpful and friendly and ensure that the multiple stakeholders across LUU are able to approach you regarding their digital queries and needs.
If the sound of this role excites you, and you feel you have the skills and experience to succeed within it, we look forward to receiving your application.
