Induction & Probation
When you’re new it can be hard to find your feet in a new organisation. In LUU it can also be hard to just find your way around our warren-like building. We offer a full programme of induction and probation to ensure you quickly get up to speed in your new role and find out the things you need to know.
Your induction starts in your department and your manager or someone else who has been assigned will assist you with the basic information that you need. You will also receive initial training in all the key tasks you need to perform in your job.
After a few weeks you will be invited to attend LUU’s induction course. This is a chance for you to meet a member of the Senior Leadership Team at LUU and find out more about the organisation. You will also get to meet other staff who are new to LUU.
All staff undergo a series of regular probation meetings. These are a great way for you to get feedback from your manager on how you are doing and also to give your manager feedback on your experience. These meetings can provide you with support to ensure you are getting the best out of LUU and will help you to settle in over the first few months.
The end of a successful probationary period marks a milestone in your journey enabling you to go on to enjoy a long and happy career in LUU.
Everyone new to LUU must attend the following sessions within their first 3 months of joining.
Please be aware if you cancel with less than 48 hours notice for any reason other than due to illness, your department will be charged for your place.
