Staff Meetings
LUU recognises the importance of keeping staff up to date with what’s going on. That’s why we run regular staff meetings giving staff the opportunity to get together and meet colleagues from different departments.
We usually run three meetings a year, a big meeting in the Summer where we take a full day to reflect on the year and make plans for the future. This year the meeting saw staff commenting on our new strategic plans in the morning and doing a campus wide treasure hunt in the afternoon. We also hold a meeting just prior to intro week where we aim to give staff a taste of what is on offer at Freshers. Finally, we have a Christmas staff meeting, this usually takes the form of round table discussions and is a great way for you to pass comment on aspects of working at LUU that you do and don’t like.
Do take the opportunity to attend staff meetings, they are a great way to find out more about what’s going on and mix with people you don’t normally get to meet. Arrangements are always made by managers to ensure staff can attend and if the meeting is in your non-working time you will always get paid or receive time of in lieu for your attendance.
