One of LUU’s core values is equality. We believe in celebrating diversity in LUU and ensuring that we operate an environment in which all staff can thrive.
All departments in LUU are responsible for working on diversity and we aim to provide services for all the diverse groups of students at the University of Leeds. These groups include student parents, international students, disabled students and mature students. Using statistics we monitor our impact on these groups and take steps to enhance their levels of engagement with LUU.
As staff we all have a responsibility for ensuring the accessibility of our services. If you have any ideas to improve how we can provide for our diverse groups then speak to your manager or use the staff suggestion scheme to get these ideas heard.
LUU was proud to achieve the Investors in Diversity award in 2008. This is an award help by only a few organisations in the UK and recognises and organisation’s commitment to and achievements in the field of diversity.
