Hardship

If you are suffering from financial hardship then please contact the Student Advice Centre, on email: advice@luu.leeds.ac.uk or tel: 0113 380 1290, to see if there is any help available to you.

Our advisers can help you with debt negotiation and budgeting to help you manage and cope with your hardship.

In some situations there may be additional funding available to you, and we can help you apply for this. Depending on your eligibility, this may include the Access to Learning Fund, external sources of funding

In some extreme circumstances, emergency funding may be available from the Union. However, please note that the eligibility criteria and application process for the latter is extremely strict.

The Advice Centre considers possible emergencies situations such having no food, homelessness,  needing essential travel or essential medicine. If you are in this situation please contact the Advice Centre as soon as possible.
