Harassment


Sexual comments. Unwanted questions. Groping. Pinching. Lifting up a skirt. Being slapped. Being hit. Being beaten. Being dragged. Threatened with a weapon. Any sexual act (from molestation to rape). Constant calling. Constant texting. Being followed. Being controlled.

 We don’t tolerate it. Report harassment of any kind to any member of staff.

If you are experiencing abuse or harassment and want to seek help and advice, please contact the following:

 

The Student Advice Centre is a place you can report harassment in confidence. If you need someone to talk to, tell you more about counselling services or help you find alternative accommodation, they’ll do it without pressuring you to inform the police.

The centre is open between 9.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday on the second floor in the Union building. Alternatively, email at advice@luu.leeds.ac.uk or phone 0113 380 1290.

 

The STAR (Surviving Trauma After Rape) Project is a support service for men or women who have been sexually assaulted or raped. They are contactable through their website: http://www.starproject.co.uk/page1.html, or phone 01924 298954.
