Does anyone have any thoughts on Theme 5, Make it fun and exciting to get more out of membership.
To remind you of the main details:
Strategic Theme: Making your membership fun and exciting
Project Objectives: 4 big things in 4 years Initiatives Include;
1. We will create a Membership Management System to better
support members at all levels of involvement
- Creating a database that can classify students as belonging based on their involvement in different activities – clubs/socs, voting, etc.
- Showing live statistics on website and in reception to the percentage of each area of membership – so that
members can get a feel for how many people are
actually involved and be drawn in themselves.
2. We will build a fun community within LUU that integrates all of
our activities and encourages our staff and students to be part
of that community
- Creating a visual family tree of the Union and place in ahigh-footfall area – this should also aim to contain a giant
“family” portrait of all staff
- Ensuring that all staff have consistent knowledge of keyLUU messages by improving induction, training and
briefings – particularly for weekly paid staff
3. We will refresh the Not for Profit message and place it back at
the heart of our activities
- “It?s not mine, it?s yours” – putting the emphasis on theindividual and what they gain rather than what we do for
them
- Providing a more precise breakdown of what goes to students – i.e. 99p sandwiches (13p goes to…)
4. We will introduce a loyalty card based on the student card to
reward our members for their involvement with LUU
- Expanding Membership Management system to include ability to keep record of student purchases through loyalty card usage
- Creating specific discounts for students depending on their membership of particular societies
