LGBT and Religion

Join us for a day to celebrate the diversity of LUU! With a day of events to do with LGBT and religion and discovery of your own identity.

There will be a self discovery maze set up upstairs in the ARC in which you will be able to take a few minutes out of your day to walk around and take some time to yourself to think about your goals and identity. Time and place to be confirmed ASAP.

There is also going to be a debate on LGBT and religion at 5pm until 7pm. There will be some exciting guests who will allow for this event to be both exciting and current. With the Popes recent comments it is obvious that the cross over between the LGBT community and religion can still be an area of contention, whilst with groups like the Metropolitan Community Churches wanting to be able to give Civil Partnerships it shows that there doesn't necessarily have to be a clash. Come and see where you stand on the issue! Place to be confirmed asap!

A guided meditation is also going to be taking place in the Chaplaincy in the Wilson Room at 2pm. Please come along, whatever your religion or sexual or gender identity and take a while to yourself.

The return of Thinking on the Edge! Come and explore LGBT and religion in a workshop style event. This event will be on Monday the 15th between 5pm and 7pm, and so after the day of events. Come reflect on what you have discovered and see how you feel on the issues!

We look forward to seeing you there!
