Walking
Stretch those legs after a weary journey. By following the directions below you’ll be with us in less than 20 minutes.
Come out of the station into City square; with the Queens Hotel behind you, walk straight up Park Row. Continue up Park Row until the first major junction. Cross straight over The Headrow and continue up Cookridge Street. At the next set of lights go straight on passing Millennium Square on your left and Leeds City Museum on your right.
Turn left on to Woodhouse Lane, a busy main road. You'll pass Leeds Metropolitan University on your left and our University campus begins in another 50 metres or so, on your left. You'll be able to look at a map of campus there and plan where to go next. You’re heading for the Students’ Union.

By Train
Leeds station connects us with all major UK cities and has a fast and efficient London service. For train information and timetables visit the National Rail Enquiries website.
By Bike
We have secure bike racks across campus and directly outside the Union. To get you’re here safely you can download the University’s walking and cycling map of the surrounding or the Leeds City Council cycling map.
By Bus
There are number of reliable bus services in Leeds. Visit the West Yorkshire Metro website and First Leeds for timetables and general information.
Alternatively there is a city bus which stops at the bus and train stations and the southern end of campus (near the back of Leeds General Infirmary A&E) every 10 minutes from 6.30am to 7.30pm Monday to Saturday.

Directions
From the South (M1)
At junction 43 the motorway splits. Take the right hand lanes and follow M621 Leeds Centre.
Exit M621 at junction 3 and follow signs for city centre and universities. Pass under the railway bridges keeping in outside lane and enter City Square.
Take exit signposted 'University' (the main Post Office on your right). Turn right at next traffic lights into east parade. Travel up East Parade in the left hand lane, straight across The Headrow into Calverley Street (Town Hall will be on your left) past the Leeds General Infirmary (on your left) and turn right immediately after the Civic Hall (on your right).
Turn left at the next traffic lights to Woodhouse Lane. The main entrance can be found on your left after a few hundred yards, immediately before the Parkinson Tower.
From the M62 Eastbound
Exit M62 at junction 27 to the M621. Exit the M621 at junction 2 (signposted Harrogate, York and Skipton) and after a few hundred yards approach major roundabout. Take third exit to city centre and join inner ring road. Take exit signposted Skipton A660, which will bring you to Woodhouse Lane.
The main entrance can be found on your left after a few hundred yards, immediately before the Parkinson Tower.
From the M62 Westbound
Exit M62 at junction 29 to join M1 northbound. (Continue from - From the South (M1)
From A1 Northbound
Leave A1 (at exit to Ferrybridge Services) to join M62 westbound. Exit M62 at junction 29 to join M1 northbound.
From A1 Southbound
Leave A1 taking A64 towards Leeds and join inner ring road (dual carriageway). Take exit signposted Skipton A660, which will bring you to Woodhouse Lane. The main entrance can be found on your left after a few hundred yards, immediately before the Parkinson Tower.
To get to the Union building its best to carry on past the clock tower for 600m, don’t leave the road when it bends to the left. Go over the first set of traffic lights, when you get to the second set (past Mechanical Engineering Department, The Packhorse Pub and just before the Library Pub), turn left along Clarendon Road. You’ll go past a big halls of residence on your right hand side. Where this building stops there is a poster drum, turn left after this (before the traffic lights) onto University Road. Take the immediate right before the security barrier and then the immediate left. Follow this road down to the next security barrier and park outside Leeds University Union.
Parking on campus is limited, and we are also committed to reducing our carbon emissions, so we encourage staff and visitors to walk or cycle where possible.
Parking is available on campus on a first come, first served basis, and the charge is £5.00. Spaces can be pre-booked by contacting either Louise or Charlie and giving them your vehicle registration and driver details. Please come to the main entrance by the Parkinson Building.
By Air
Leeds is served by two major airports: Leeds Bradford and Manchester. Regular flights are available from a huge number of European and International cities. Leeds Bradford airport is approximately 7 miles away from the University, so easily commutable by taxi.
