Volunteering Groups

St John Ambulance Links

About Us

We train students in First Aid, a useful and beneficial skill that everyone should have.  Volunteers from the society can then provide First Aid for university and local events, besides being able to help family and friends or someone in need.

- First Aid training sessions every Thursday (7-9pm in the Business School, room 1.33) for every member of the society using real First Aid equipment so members gain the most realistic experiences possible.

- Members can become members of the Universitie's St John Ambulance Unit, Leeds LINKS, this allows members to gain qualifications and go on duties with us.

- First Aid certificate trainings are held every year so SJA members can become qualified or renew their certificates.

- First Aid skills and/or qualifications give members confidence and knowledge to react to emergency situations and help others.

-As SJA members you can go onto provide first aid at many events within the university and around Leeds, From basic first aid cover to more advanced members crewing ambulances on NHS A and E support work.

For more information contact us via unisja@leeds.ac.uk or turn up to one of our sessions. More information can be found on our facebook page.
