About Us

This is an Action project. To volunteer with this please join Action online at www.leedsaction.co.uk

We take young people aged 12-16 who have learning difficulties away for fun weekend residentials. These usually take place around the Leeds area.

We take them swimming, cycling, horse riding, and on farm visits to name just a few of the exciting activities we pack into a weekend.

Volunteers act as a 'buddy' to one young person throughout the weekend, getting to know them better, helping them at meal times and bed times.

While having a great weekend away with the opportunity to try out lots of new activities, meet other volunteers and hang out with a great bunch of kids, you also get the satisfaction of knowing that you're giving the kids new exciting experiences and giving their parents a well earned rest too!
