Hello! We're Leeds RAG.

We’re here to help make your time at Leeds unforgettable whilst making a difference to the lives of those truly in need.

We’ve come a long way from our humble beginnings handing out old clothes and have grown into a society that donated over £250,000 to charity in 2011!

We’ve got something for everyone: hitchhikes across Europeskydiving, the RAG Fashion Show and much, much more. You can even spend a summer working with children in Thailand or build a school in Uganda.

All our events are detailed on the website, and if you follow us on Facebook and Twitter you’ll get all the latest as it happens.

We’re one of the oldest societies at Leeds Uni, but some things haven’t changed – we’re still completely student-run and we’ve still got a little office in the Union. Drop in for a chat the next time you pass by!

So to sum us up, we want you to help us beat our 2010/11 total donation of £250,239.74p to charity and charitable causes. Join us today and make a difference by doing something amazing!

The 2010 Leeds RAG Fashion Show was voted as Leeds University Union's:

The Rileys 2010 WInners of Best Show/Event

The RAG Awards

This year we held our first ever RAG Awards to celebrate all of our amazing members. On an evening to remember at Alea Casino, 15 awards were given to the individuals and events that have made 2011/12 truly special, which were met by cheers and often tears from the winners.

We received over 212 nominations for the awards which were presented by George Stride and the outgoing RAG Committee of 2011-12. On the evening we also premiered our ‘Our Year’ video, celebrating the achievement of our members and our fundraising achievements for this year. And the winners are.....

We’d like to thank everybody who contributed to making the awards a such a memorable night. Right from the start of the evening we were wowed by violinist Kate Chruscicka and magician Josh Smith. In between awards we were treated by the talented signer and pianist, Phoebe Katie; beat-boxer Kimmy Lawrence; and music from our DJ for the evening, James Bramley.

We were also thrilled to be joined by Leeds University Union’s Best Society for 2011/12 – Irish Dancing – and the mind blowing break dancers, Clean North. As the awards came to an end, the night truly got underway with Zee and the Essentials – winners of our Battle of the Bands event!

Thank you to all our Members this year - you have been amazing!
