We hope to provide a fun and enjoyable day for older people of our community and students alike, through the lovely theme of a tea party!

If you are interested, please contact us on the email above or visit the Leeds Action website.

Aims:

This annual event sets out to give older people from the local community the opportunity to socialise with their peers, as well as improving relations with the students of Leeds University.

Objectives:

- To give older people a chance to mix with all ages, whilst enjoying an afternoon of tea and cake, accompanied by live entertainment from the students.
- To give students a unique chance to mix with older members of the local community, whilst gaining valuable volunteering experience.

We plan to host a tea party on the for approximately 150 older people from the local community. The afternoon will include refreshments and live entertainment provided by University students, as well as a raffle and bingo!

Volunteer Briefing Session: asset/Organisation/8134/Tea-Party-Volunteer-Briefing.docx

We would like volunteers who can help us throughout the day to host the tea party, as well as to set up and clean up afterwards, and hopefully have fun (and some cake!) whilst doing so.
