Volunteering Groups

STAR Bike Project

About Us

This is a 'Student Action for Refugees' volunteering project. We collect old unloved bikes, renovate them and give them to refugees and asylum seekers in Leeds. Volunteers are needed to help us renovate the bikes at our weekly sessions (usually Fridays 3pm-5pm at the Leeds University Velocampus), as well as collect  bikes, distribute them and promote the project. If you are interested, get in touch! You can commit as much or as little time as you want. No experience of bike mechanics is necessary, but obviously is desirable. We have literature and experienced members to help you learn how to fix bikes.

Email Joss, Saul, Lizzie or SImon:  starbikesleeds@gmail.com   for all enquieries
