Association football (w)

We are currently made up of two teams that both compete every Wednesdays in the BUCS league against other universities. Our 1st team finished second last year in the BUCS Northern 2B division, narrowly missing promotion.  Our 2nd team finished 5th in the Northern 3B division, yet showed great strength as a team. This season we are looking to expand as a club by forming a 3rd team that will compete in a sunday league. The 3rd team would be a recreational side for those who prefer to play in a less competitive atmosphere.

All abilities are welcome.

Training

All our training sessions are held at Weetwood and all abilities are welcome to attend. Training times are;

Tuesday - 8 till 10 (3G/rubbercrumb)

Thursday - 6 till 8 (3G/rubbercrumb)

Social side

Wednesday nights only mean one thing, sports social night! Its a night to celebrate a win and to socialise with the rest of the club. Standard nights usually involve fancy dress, drinking games, masses of banter, the inevitable sing-a-longs and the occasional dance off! They are always nights to remember, even if facebook photos the next day are needed to help you with that. For more information on social events check out our facebook group or send us an email.

Give it a Go session

Our first GIAG session will be in November, 6 till 7 up at Weetwood. This is a free event and all abilities are welcome. We will be playing a few light hearted drills and then ending the session on a five aside tournament with a prize for the winning team!

Membership

Membership for the entire season will be £50. This can be paid up front or be paid in installments of £25 in each of the 2 semesters.
