Squash and Racketball

About Us

Welcome

Welcome to the Leeds University Squash and Racketball Club. We are a large, active, and friendly sports club with members ranging from complete beginners to those who represent their country at the top level.

With three men’s teams and two women’s teams competing weekly in the BUCS university leagues, there's always plenty of opportunity to play competitive squash of a very high standard. However, if you're just looking to improve your game, or have some fun and get fit, we also run improver and recreational squash sessions and our intra-mural leagues will let you see how well you're doing and how close you are to the top players.

After its success last year, we are also offering our members the chance to play racketball, the UK's fastest growing sport, with weekly open sessions and tournaments which will be held throughout the year.

However, if you’re an altogether different kind of player then we have big socials throughout the year. There's no obligation to come, but our socials are a great way to meet new people and make friends.

This year, we are very happy to have Neil Guirey as our coach for a second year running. He will be taking several sessions every week in addition to several level one coaches who will be oddering beginner classes.

Why not GIVE IT A GO to see how you enjoy the sport? we will be running one give it a go session in the first semester, details of which can be found at the following website:

Purchasing Membership

Just a quick note about how to purchase your membership:

If you are a recreational member, simply purchase the recreational membership.

If you are a team or improver member, first purchase the recreational membership. You can then purchase the relevant upgrade, but it has to be a separate transaction to that for recreational (due to an annoying glitch in the website).
