Sports Groups

Welcome to the Leeds University Union Cycling Club.

We aim to encompass all cycling disciplines from XC, Downhill, Road and Track cycling. We welcome all ability levels, and our members range from novice to elite level athletes.

The 2010/2011 season saw great success for the club with Team and Individual Gold’s and Podiums, building on success of past years. This success previously lead to the Club being named LUU's "TEAM OF THE YEAR".

Members can enjoy weekly rides on Wednesdays (2PM), Saturdays (11AM) and Sundays (11AM) for both Road and Mountain Bike. We have some of the best riding in the country right from Headingley to enjoy, as well as numerous subsidized trips further afield, such as Scotland and Wales. The rides are mainly about socialising and having fun rather than training.

We are a Gryphon club and are supported by the University in recognition of our achievements and strength. The club is also British Cycling affiliated so those interested in competition are greatly encouraged.

Our membership is £20.
