Recruitment
We welcome EVERYBODY from beginner to elite level and have developed athletes who started at a beginner level and gone on to represent their country.
Some of our team train every day and others once a week, so you can do as much or as little as you want.
This year, for the first time, we have a Run England Fitness Group purely for those new to running and want to lose a bit of weight and stay healthy.
Teams
We enter as many teams as we possible can to each race so everybody can compete and be part of the club. Details of fixtures are available on our website.
Competition
Last year we raced at Manchester relays, Edinburgh Braids Hill Race and Nottingham Relays as well as hosting our own Leeds Relays.
We're also involved in BUCS - which is a national standard cross country race- this year its being held in London.
There are also a number of local races including the West Yorkshire League, the Pico League and Leeds Half Marathon
Every year we go to the Isle of Man Easter Festival (not to be missed!) and run a European half marathon (potentially Prague or Lisbon this year).
Hopes for season ahead
We have a lot of potential in the squad, with current individuals competing at International Level not to mention a World Junior Triathlon Champion in the squad. We are aiming to get team medals at BUCS this year.
We are a Gryphon sponored club, part of the University's sport development program, and enjoy the benfits associated with this, a reflection on the high standard of results we have achieved over the past few years.
