About Us

Leodis is a massive site, so there's loads of great opportunities for you to meet new people and get involved in loads of activities. Social, sporting and volunteering events are all organised by the Residents' Committee that you can be part of! Last year, the committee organised loads of events including a ball, Easter Egg hunts and they booked out a whole cinema just for Leodis residents!

One of our largest sites, Leodis is an attractive modern complex just 10 minutes' walk from the University and 15 minutes' walk from the city centre. Leodis has a common room with satellite TV, DVD player and pool table. Some blocks are set aside for postgraduates.

Meet your 2011/12 Committee:

President: Wassim Taleb

The President is there to help everyone in their hall have a great year by representing them at LUU forums and ensuring that the Residents’ Committee is running smoothly. This will include liaising with residence staff and wardens, as well as LUU Staff and the executive officers and keeping you informed of all events and campaigns.

Vice-President Treasurer: James Foreshaw

Prepares and manages the JCR budget, overseeing the income and expenditure throughout the year ensuring money is spent in the best way possible for students, and keeps the committee, residents, Students’ Union and University updated about the accounts.

Communications Officer: Ollie Tester

Communicates information from the committee and Students’ Union, getting messages out to everyone else living in your residence, through as many ways as possible such as through Facebook, e-mails and producing posters.

Green Rep: Anuradha Kumar

Helps you and your neighbours to reduce your impact on the environment as well as raising awareness and promoting campaigns and initiatives in the community.
