About Us

Bodington is the largest site, with catered and self catering accommodation available and shared bathroom facilities. Bodington has a very active social life, themed events, great facilities on site including a shop, bar with large-screen SKY TV, snooker room and a large computer cluster, squash courts, plus University sports fields close by. Frequent bus service to and from University and the city centre, via the popular student area of Headingley.

Events that have been organised in the past include the infamous Bod Ball, open mic nights, pub quizzes, guest lectures, a musical and much, much more! Keep your eye out for more events coming soon...

Meet your 2011/12 Committee:

President - Oscar Frandsen

The President is there to help everyone in their hall have a great year by representing them at LUU forums and ensuring that the Residents’ Committee is running smoothly. This will include liaising with residence staff and wardens, as well as LUU Staff and the executive officers and keeping you informed of all events and campaigns.

Vice President Treasurer - Timothy Hurst

Prepares and manages the JCR budget, overseeing the income and expenditure throughout the year ensuring money is spent in the best way possible for students, and keeps the committee, residents, Students’ Union and University updated about the accounts.

Communications Officer: Lucinda Adams

Communicates information from the committee and Students’ Union, getting messages out to everyone else living in your residence, through as many ways as possible such as through Facebook, e-mails and producing posters.

Events officer - Laura Potter

The Events officer organises events that everyone living in your residence can enjoy.

Green rep - Marion Collishaw

Helps you and your neighbours to reduce your impact on the environment as well as raising awareness and promoting campaigns and initiatives in the community.
