Stop AIDS


About Us

We are the StopAIDS Society. We welcome anyone with an intrest in finding out more about the HIV/AIDS pandemic, spreading awareness among other students, and being involved in the StopAIDS students campaign on a national level with other universities. We work closely with the local Terrance Higgins Trust, and raise money for designated HIV charities worldwide.

 
We have a whole variety of activities throughout the year including: 
 
Fund raising crazy African themed parties, film screenings, speaker tours with HIV positive speakers visiting the university, world AIDS week madness in December, debates, and parliament campaigning visits. 
 
The variety of events gives our members the option to participate as little or as much as they wish, and we constantly welcome new faces!

If you need help regarding your club and society, the Development Coordinators, who work in the Union's ARC (the Activities and Resource Centre), provide support, advice and help with all student activities.
