Feminist Society

LUU Feminist Society was set up to provide a support network for all members of Leeds University Union interested in feminism, and we're excited for another academic year of activities!

FemSoc aims to mold a safe friendly space for discussion that questions what is around it and searches, in different ways, for an understanding of what kind of action and thought will tease out a positive support or change in society for enyone concerned with sexism or questioning femininity, masculinity and gendered oppression anywhere.

We try to work as a big communally supportive group who help eachother host host and participate in (as little as you like) events throughout the year, including film showings, book clubs, workshops, partying and trips! On top of all that, we’ll be inviting guest speakers for you and rather likely to engage in participating in or running various campaigns.

We are a society open to your opinions and ideas, so if you feel like you have something to say about equality, women’s rights, or just general feminist banter, get in contact and get involved!
