Speleology (Caving)

About Us

LUUSS is the student branch of the University of Leeds Speleological Association (ULSA). We are a friendly and active society who visit and explores caves in the Yorkshire Dales, Britain and worldwide.

Caving is a challenging and exciting new experience for those of you who want to try something different. Every cave is unique and can vary immensely. There are often climbs, vast chambers, some squeezes, waterfalls and impressive formations.

ULSA organises a caving trip every other weekend, usually to the Yorkshire Dales. Trips are open to all and with no previous experience necessary. We also run weekends away to places such as Wales, Derbyshire and the Mendips.
