Get involved! We have something for everyone...

It's not too late to join! We have loads of great trips and socials planned for 2nd semester so get your discounted membership and join in the fun...

We are one of the uni's most active clubs...from easy hikes in the Dales, to challenging scrambles in the Lake District, and even hardcore winter mountain action in the Scottish Highlands, we do it all.

We've got some more awesome trips planned for this year so don't miss out! We have our regular Sunday trips, five weekend trips away throughout the year, an Easter trip and a Summer trip to the beautiful hills and mountains of England, Scotland and Wales.

This year we also have visits to Mountain Rescue Bases booked in for two of our weekend trips, including presentations lined up from the teamleaders. This will be a great chance to learn more about the work the rescue teams get up to and how we can stay safe in the mountains! 

We also have weekly socials on Wednesday evenings from 8.30pm onwards at our new spot; The Eldon Pub - opposite engineering on Headingley Lane. So pop along to the pub for a drink or two to come and meet us and find out more about the club.

The LUUHC is a great place to meet people interested in a huge variety of outdoor sports, from rock climbing and mountain biking to skiing, so if that sounds like you and you want to meet like-minded poeple then this is the club for you!

How to sign-up for trips

Come along to a sign-up session - every Wednesday, 1-2pm in 'The Study' which is opposite the Activities Office at the top of the main stairs in the union building. This is where you can chat to the committee about membership and upcoming trips and socials as well as sign-up and pay for trips.

Please note: the LUUHC does not have insurance cover for our members. Therefore it is the responsibility of each member to provide their own insurance if they want it. Personal insurance can be bought from a number of companies, a good one being the British Mountaineering Council (BMC), visit their website for more information; www.thebmc.co.uk.
