Lippy: No Gloss is Leeds University's very own alternative women's magazine and the winner of the Riley Awards 2012's Most Improved Society.

We are concerned with the issues that really matter; giving voice to the student body and intelligent discussion. We publish a weekly online magazine and a twice-yearly printed publication, covering everything from art and culture to politics to fashion.

After an incredibly successful year last year, we aim to continue spreading the Lippy name and working to create a top-quality magazine over the next 12 months. If you'd like to join us as a writer, designer, editor, or any other part of our team then please take a look at our website and join the society. We'd love to hear from you, so feel free to drop us an email with any questions.

As well as our website, this year we have launched new fashion and music blogs to bring you fashion and music news, reviews and tidbits throughout the week. If you're interested in contributing, please email Scout on fashiononline.lippy@gmail.com or Rachael on musiconline.lippy@gmail.com.

Get involved

We are keen to build links with other societies, whether through joint events and collaborative content. If you've got an idea for a project you think we might be interested in, please drop us an email! We're also happy to review performances, gigs and events by other societies, so get in touch if you'd like us to help with press coverage.

Friends of Lippy

We realise there are many of you who would like to follow our printed progress over the year but due to geographical limitations you are unable to buy a copy of our printed magazine when it comes out each term. FEAR NOT... We have devised a cunning plan that will eradicate this most cumbersome problem and you can read Lippy over breakfast, in the bath, or perhaps, as some of us prefer, on the toilet.
 

For just £12 for the year you will have both copies of our termly printed magazine delivered first class to your door, before they have even gone on sale. You will also receive: a quarterly newsletter from the Lippy Team, keeping you up-to-date with our goings-on; a limited edition artwork by one of our many incredible in-house artists; behind the scenes photos of our latest print edition and other Lippy activites; and there will be FREE Lippy magnets for the first twenty-five Friends of Lippy membership buyers!

To become a Friend of Lippy, you need to click on the little 'Register' button on the top right of this page and then the options will magically appear at the bottom of this page, priced at £12 for UK residents, £14 for EU residents and £16 for US residents.
