Find us: Upstairs in the Union building. Go up the stairs by the Union entrance, turn right and we about 20 metres along to the right.

Leeds Student is the 2009 Guardian Student Newspaper of the year and the only weekly publication on campus. We aim to be your voice on campus: written for students, by students.

As well as our print edition, which hits the shelves every Friday morning of term-time, we have a fantastic, developing website www.leedsstudent.org.

We are always looking for new reporters, reviewers, photographers and designers so why become part of this award-winning student publication?

To get involved, click on the link below to buy your membership. Unfortuantley, you can only write for us once you had joined, but once you do you may write, design or photograph for as many sections as you like.

Once signed-up, come along to our weekly meetings, which take place every week at the following times:

Monday -
Features and lifestyle 5pm

Wednesday –
Fashion 1pm
Music 12pm
Clubs 6pm (email clubs@leedsstudent.org before)

Thursday –
Arts and books 5pm

Friday –
News and science 4pm
Comment 5pm
Debate 5pm
Observations 5pm

Tech 5pm (email tech@leedsstudent.org before)

However, don't feel as though the above meetings are the only times you can pop by: the door to our office is always open!

This year we are also running a weekly 'Writer's Surgery' on Friday at 13.30-15.30pm. Bring along any pieces you have written for feedback and tips or come with any questions regarding how to write for specific sections.
