General Interest Groups

Stitch & Bitch

About Us

Our group is Stitch n' Bitch and we mainly meet and work on knitting or crocheting projects though every so often we have other crafty sessions such as making fabric monsters, badge making and beading workshops.

The aim of our society is for like minded people to get together, swap patterns and ideas, teach one another and to generally have some company whilst creating.

We aim to make the society more widely known within the university and would like to enable people who haven't knitted before to try it out.

Meetings

Stitch & Bitch meets once a week on a Monday evening, 5pm-7pm. Our social activities include regular meetings for knitting and crocheting, the occasional evening social or visits to some of Yorkshire's finest tea rooms.

Our sessions are on Mondays, 5-7pm in the Baines Wing, SR room 4.12. The Baines Wing is next to the Great Hall, behind the Parkinson's Building and across from the Michael Sadler Building. Please email LUUSNB@GMAIL.COM if you have any trouble finding it.

Membership

Previously, Stitch & Bitch haven't charged members to join and we won't be changing that this year, though for new knitters we are supplying a starters pack for a small amount (£3.50 for knitting packs).  Email us or turn up to a session to get involved.
