Hello and welcome to the Jazz and Blues Society page.....
The Jazz and Blues Society has been devoted to supporting the jazz and blues music scene in Leeds since its formation in 2006. The society is for anyone interested in jazz and blues music (listening or playing) and includes socials at local jazz venues with discounts off events that we put on as well as some external events.  You'll also be able to see your fellow members show off their talents at Jam sessions and gigs.
 
If you are a musician, you can also take advantage of our opportunities to play with like-minded musicians at Jam Sessions and can even join our brand new "Big Band”. We will introduce you to other musicians and get a network going so you can form bands and help you set up some gigs.
 
What we’ve been up to:
The society has been holding regular socials and Jam sessions throughout the year and gigs from great local bands. Socials have taken us to venues such as Wardrobe, Hifi and LCM, not to mention LUU itself! Check out Nu York State (one of our favourites) who returned once again to play for us in the first semester - they were ace!

As a paid member, you will be able to come to our own events at a discounted rate (free for some events!), we will tell you about all events that we are putting on, including those exclusive to members, as well as events put on by others where we have agreed discounts for you in advance. You will be invited to society socials and trips to see gigs in Leeds and further afield. 

If you don’t want to pay us ......... join our mailing list!! However, by not paying membership, you receive invitations to concerts and workshops that we put on.... where you will be able to pay full price to see the wonders of Jazz and Blues. It's a good no obligation introduction to Jazz and Blues.
