About Film Soc

Welcome to Do It In The Dark: Leeds University Union Film Society! If you LOVE films of all kinds, this is the society for you! We show at least 22 films per semester, showcasing a range of genres and time periods. So whatever your interests may be, whether it's horror, romance, golden oldies, world cinema or none of these at all - we will have something to cater for you!

As well as screening films, we hold regular socials and other special events, plus we operate a DVD rental service with a choice of over 350 movies included in your membership price.

We also have a number of collaborative events planned for Semester 2, such as Phd: The Movie (with Fobsoc, the Postgrad Society and the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences), The History Boys (with LGBT Society) and a reprise of last year's film and music pub quiz with the UML Society!
