Who is ISoc?

- The Islamic Society is an organisation whose committee members are elected by YOU to become the voice of Muslim students in the University of Leeds, representing your interests and catering for your needs.

• To convey the true message of Islam and Increase understanding of Islam on campus
• To unify and empower Muslim students in Leeds
• To provide quality services for our members to cater for their needs and look after their welfare requirements
• To be a leading body in campaigning for issues that will benefit the student community
• To develop and maintain good relations with other organisations, student bodies and university to achieve common goals 

What are our main events?

• Freshers Dinner (12th Oct 2011) - This is a FREE formal dinner with talks, entertainment and a 3 course meal! A fantastic opportunity to get to know your ISoc committee better and make new friends.
• Charity Week (31st Oct - 6th Nov 2011) - CW is dedicated to raising as much money as possible for people in need all around the world. It is a week PACKED full of fun, fun, fun! There is something for everyone! Daring challenges, sporting tournaments, formal socials, themed nights, auctions, carnival, gaming, costumed bucket collections, food sales, henna & calligraphy stalls and MUCH more!!!
• Discover Islam Week - DIW returns to YOUR campus this Februaury! A week described by previous attendees as ''the best week of my life - period''. This is a week dedicated to coveying true Islam and the Muslim lifestyle to everyone on campus. Its going to be packed with inspirational talks, exhibitions, socials, workshops, FREE henna, calligraphy and refreshments.
