We are TRSoc, a society made up of Theology and Religious studies Students, Single and Joint Honours and non-TRS students too.

If you want to run for a committee position for TRSoc 2012/2013, now is your chance!

Deadline for Manifestos is 5th March!

Positions going are:

President
• Responsible for the actions of the Committee and should be consulted before any decisions are made.
• Organises and Chairs committee meetings
• Lead and supervise activities of the society
• Chair annual AGM

Treasurer
• Responsible for maintaining the Societies accounts.
• Keep records of financial transactions of the society
• Keeping records of how much money is in the account

Secretary
• Responsible for the membership database.
• Keep the Union webpage up to date
• Take minutes at committee meetings, which should be circulated to all committee members
• Keeping notice board in Hopewell House up to date

Social Secretary
• Responsible for organising events for members
• Advertising socials to the students
• Ensure socials are held accomodating for all students

Throughout the year, the committee is planning more wonderful socials, ranging from:

Bowling

Meals Out

Day Trips - E.g. to places of worship/temples etc

Nights Out - E.g The Otley Run

This year within our Department, we now have:

A Film Club - run by Roisin Bound

A Fiction Readers Club - run by Tasha Gill

And a newsletter, exclusive to TRS - run by Mattie Lacey-Davidson

We will also organise some more academically based activities such as:

Lectures

Talks

Debates

TRS and non-TRS students are welcome, the more the merrier!
