The Collaborative Arts Society
About Us
The Collaborative Arts Society is a brand new, vibrant and exciting society, open to all who have an interest in art and all that entails.
Whether you’re into music, painting, or would just like to discover a little more while meeting other like minded people, this society is for you.
Our focus is to learn about different forms of art while having a good time.
Art without the boring stuff!
One of the biggest benefits of the society is that members will have the opportunity to interact with students of various expertise and interests with whom you can exchange ideas and knowledge.
We have big plans for trips this year, from gallery visits, new exhibitions, days out in Leeds and the surrounding area, gigs and much more. We will also be arranging a trip to Athens, to soak ourselves in art as it was at the beginning, well the beginning according to Gombrich…
As a new society, and in support of our Union free beginning, we are open to your suggestions, you can be as involved with the running of the society as you wish. We would love to hear your ideas for trips and outings, discussion topics or study groups.
We will support your development as a student by arranging groups tailored to your study needs, where you will be able to discuss problems, course issues, the French Revolution and THAT end of year essay, with people not only on your course, but people who have done it before! We will be running small art based competitions throughout the year, as well as nights out, fun art quizzes and arty film nights!
If you’re undecided, why not come along to one of our Give It A Go session that we’ll be running, or one of our socials? We're a friendly bunch, details are below or can be found on our Facebook, just search The Collaborative Arts Society, or click the link below.
