Departmental Groups

My name is Sophie Bellon-Gibbons and I am the new president of History of Art Society. You may be asking what History of Art society involves and here is the answer. We would be taking you out to several of the galleries around Leeds in order to show you what Leeds has to offer towards your History of Art degree and of all the opportunities there are to see some amazing works of art.

We have organised some very exciting things for you lot this term which will include outings to galleries in Leeds and maybe even Liverpool and London. As well as this we are also trying to organise talks at several of the galleries for you all to enjoy and are hoping to be able to do a trip to either Florence or Paris next summer. As well as this we have also secured you guys reduced entry to several of the top nights out in Leeds including Gatecrasher and Mint for our exciting socials.

We try and meet every two weeks or so in the Terrace bar just to discuss any ideas people might have about future events, however we have not decided on a time or day yet but that will be sent out to all the members when it is decided.
