Sports In The Society: Get Involved!

 

The German Society has a lot of sport to offer, with Netball and Football for all!

 

If you are interested in playing for either team in September, then register your interest by signing up at the bottom of the home page.

The netball team is a great way to meet new people and have a good laugh in a fun environment. Even boys can get involved (if they're masculine enough to play!)

For football, boys and girls can come down to our two weekly 'training' sessions, which is essentially a light-hearted kickabout. We have teams in Men's 5-aside leagues 11-aside league too, as well as a mixed 5-aside team.

Der Höhepunkt of the German Society sporting year is always the Sauerkraut Cup, where German departments from Universities across the country send mixed football teams (complete with fans) to compete for the illusive trophy. (A few drinks tend to follow!) It's an absolutely brilliant event and one that can't be missed, even if you aren't playing!
