Dance Groups

Street dance is the style of dance that everyone has no doubt seen, and which more importantly, everyone can do. It incorporates so many different styles, so everyone can find a niche that best suites them. Leeds Uni Street Dance Society provides the friendly and open environment that’s ideal for learning in!
We have classes twice a week, catering for both beginners and more advanced dancers. We use the best studio on campus which includes mirrors and a great sound system!

Every year Street Dance Soc takes part in the LUU Dance show, where all of the LUU dance societies perform in one show, and every year Street Dance Soc is amazing! 

We hold regular socials, so that we can get to know each other outside of the studio! We also organise trips to other dance studios in nearby cities and we invite different choreographers to come and teach us new distinct styles. The society is made up of a bunch of people who simply enjoy dance, so if that’s you, then come along!

 Being Part of the Street Dance society has many benefits! High quality teaching, fun environment( you will end up with LOADS of new mates!),  free drinks on nights out, cheap club entry and of course being a proud member of LUU STREET DANCE!

Membership:

Membership costs £20 for the year, and each class costs £3 for member and £5 for non members. All payments go straight back into the society to help to afford our fantastic studio, amazing choreographer, as well as trips, workshops and nights out!

Classes:

Tuesday 5-6pm- beginners class

Wednesday 5-6 and 6-7pm - Begginers class

(same routine taught at each beginners session)

Thursday 5:30-7pm - Advanced/Intermediate class

 at Stage@Leeds.
