Welcome to the Contemporary Dance Society website!

Classes next year are currently being scheduled, so watch this space!
We are going to have a stall down in the sports hall during Freshers week, so you can come and sign up there, or soon there will be a link put on the website to.
In the meantime if you need to contact us, check out the facebook group which is Leeds Contemporary Dance Society 09/10 , and if you’ve got any ideas of what you’d like the society to be doing, you can pop them on there.

Code of Practice:
Before each session, we will ensure that the space is safe for you to dance in by ensuring it is clear of obstacles and the floor is free of spillages and rubbish. Where possible the floor will be sprung to protect your joints.
We will endevour to do a warm-up at the start of the class and a cool down at the end.

Risk Assesment:
Although we will endovour to take you through a warm-up at the start of each session, it is your personal responsibility to warm yourselves up and the society is not liable should any injury occur. In relation to this, it is also your responsibility to alert the teacher to any injuries you may have, in the knowledge that we may be able to advise you but dance is a naturally strenuous activity.
We also recommend that you wear loose comfortable clothes, suitable flat footwear or bare feet, tie back hair and remove jewellery.
