About Us

The Saudi society in the University of Leeds is open for all Saudi students who live in Leeds and the surrounding areas, irrespective of their institutions. We are also a member of the UK Saudi Students Clubs. One of our main aims is to provide a friendly forum for new coming and current students to discuss their common concerns and interests, an to offer mutual support to live in and love Leeds. Besides, we love to participate in the Leeds Union activities and enhance cross-cultural understanding within and out the University campus.
We also run the Arabic school in Leeds which is registered in Education Leeds. The key aim of the school is to keep our children acquainted with the Saudi culture and school curriculum. Moreover, the school provides them with a place to make and meet friends, and share their interests.
Both the society and school committees are elected by the society's registered members. Elections take place in October each year, unless otherwise is announced.
We have weekly, fortnightly and annual activities. Examples of these activities are:
-       Football matches (weekly)
-       Football competition (annual)
-       Social gatherings (fortnightly)
-       Eid gathering (annual)
-       Saudi exhibition (annual)
-       Caravan break (annual)
-       Yorkshire Dales Trip (annual)
