Looking for a Society that is more than JUST a club?
Over the years Leeds Afro-Caribbean Society (ACS) has become a home away from home for its members. However it is by no means a society that is exclusive to Africans or Caribbeans. Rather we welcome any individual, irrespective of race, ethnicity or religion that holds a genuine interest and appreciation of African-Caribbean music, literature, history and lifestyle. All in all a culture that has remained a bright spark through the ages.
Whether it's Obama, The Golden Stool of the Ashanti kingdom, or the Political Issues in Somalia…
Whether it’s Jazz, Soul, R’n’B, Hip Hop, Bashment, Afrobeats, or even Garage, Bassline and Grime…
Whether it's Fashion, Singing, Dancing, or Beat-Boxing…
The Leeds University Afro-Caribbean society cares about it all!

Leeds ACS will be introducing new opportunities for members to volunteer at youth centres in the more socio-economically deprived areas of Leeds. Not only does this look AMAZING on your CV, but it is also a FANTASTIC way to GIVE BACK to your new LOCAL COMMUNITY
There will also be a greater focus on your PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT. We want to help you BUILD YOUR FUTURE. So there will be talks from various professionals, a well as skills and communication workshops.
This year ACS is looking to be BIGGER and BETTER than ever, with even stronger links to other Afro-Caribbean Societies nationwide…
