Sarah is responsible for marketing communications for the Union. She manages the marketing department and oversees a range of activity including research, impact reporting, business and service development, social media, digital communications, brand and external PR. She assists the student executive with their communications work and is also a member of the University's extended Marketing Managers Team. Sarah makes sure that the University and other stakeholders understand the Union's work.

Louise looks after our business to business marketing and developing relationships with external stakeholders. She focuses her attention on generating in excess of £250,000 of income per annum for Leeds University Union and does this by creating advertising and sponsorship packages for external companies as well as working with Charlie on developing the Unions conference offer.
Louise is involved in many of the Unions projects come and see her when you’re in the early stages of planning your events for some marketing guidance

Charlie is the focal point and host for all external meetings held in the Union. Her main responsibility is to meet with potential clients and show them the benefits of hosting their conferences in the Union and ensuring the conference diary is full. She also makes sure they are looked after whilst they are here and return for future bookings.

Lead Graphic Designer
Nat is responsible for looking after the design of the Union and managing the design team. Nat is responsible for solving your communications problems visually. She produces design and communications collateral for the organisation and advises you on how to use your marketing budgets to communicate your message to students effectively. Nat manages Jenny Evans and Ana Busuioc.

Digital Marketing Coordinator
John's role is to communicate our impact to students and external stakeholders.
He works on our central communications across print and web, with involvement in projects both inside the marketing department and across the Union. He supports the Student Exec with the planning and communication of their campaigns. As the leader of one of our Big Ideas, John communicates the outcomes of our democratic processes and makes sure that students' views are reflected in every aspect of our decision-making.
John is also responsible for sharing our good news with the University and local press.

Digital & Web Development Assistant
Richard is responsible for overseeing the Union’s main website and our other online communications. He heads up the social media monitoring; listening and responding to student comments.
Rich oversees and works with a team of website admins ensuring that they are adding and maintaining content within their sections of the website and communicating their news and events. He account manages development requirements and issues with website admins and Membership Solutions (MSL) (our website content management system).
Rich collates stats on the effectiveness of these communication channels across all areas and departments within the Union, and updating monthly KPIs.

Liam is responsible for communications across the Union, crafting engaging copy for a variety of channels and harmonising our many messages. He focuses on market research, impact reporting, social media, and all things comms related.
Liam works closely with the Student Exec on their exciting campaigns and projects, ensuring they interact effectively and imaginatively with our members. He is a key liaison for NUS and a leader of ‘change through conviction’, ensuring student-led change is continuously celebrated and encouraged.

Anthony is responsible for developing and delivering LUU’s PR strategy and supporting the Student Executive to deliver their communications and PR objectives. Anthony also focuses on developing relationships with trade publications and supporting the delivery of Marketing’s one page plan. This involves building contacts with the press and other stakeholders, as well as benchmarking LUU against other charitable organisations in terms of best practice and press coverage. He also supports the e-communications function and creates new channels to effectively push LUU’s created media.

PR & Media Assistant
Ollie supports Antony with our PR activity and also helps with capturing and promoting Union-wide events through film and photography.
Katie’s role is to be the main point of contact for the Marketing Team. This involves attending Union meetings on behalf of the team and supporting the Marketing Coordinators and Designers with any projects they are planning. Katie also helps to support Louise with Union sponsorship and marketing income generation.
Katie is the lead coordinator and income generator for the Leeds Student Newspaper. This means she works closely with the Leeds Student Editor to arrange and organise advertising through the paper.
