We all know that at the moment it can be difficult to get a job once you leave University. That’s why it’s right that this Union does what it can to help students get the experience and learn the skills they need to compete.
The University runs some excellent jobs fairs in the Parkinson building; however they’ve tended to focus on ‘future jobs’ – graduate schemes and work beyond the degree. Our Opportunities Centre has stepped in and put in a marvellous effort to plug the gap.
There will be opportunities to improve your CV on the day, get tips for interviews and receive advice from the likes of Leeds for Life.
But I want to know, between the Union and the University, are we missing a trick when it comes to helping you be as employable as you can be? Are there professions, posts or positions that you’d like to see made more prominent at future fairs?
